Since medieval times Positano has both prospered and experienced hard times as a fishing village, but now it is a popular tourist attraction. I find it fascinating how the streets wind up the hillside and the buildings appear to sit on top of each other. This vantage point is popular for many, and it was seen in the movie “Under the Tuscan Sun”. I believe Positano is a beautiful part of the Amalfi Coast, and I very much enjoyed painting it.
