When the height of summer arrives so do the majestic sunflowers, of which there are dozens of varieties, and butterflies are not far behind. As the days grow colder, it is wonderful to have a reminder of summer. I enjoyed painting with this bright colored palette, which was a nice change to the numerous green-oriented paintings I have produced lately.
