This painting began as an experiment in doing an oil painting over an acrylic underpainting. When the acrylic was dry, I began painting a forest with bluebells, and then the painting just developed and ended with a family of deer. I believe it has a soft and quiet atmosphere. The title was suggested by my son, and it was perfect for the new day, new season, and new life.
