The Italian countryside is dotted with quaint farmhouses set in fields of poppies; thus, I decided to paint one. Often the farmhouses are made up of several structures. It’s as if when a space was needed for whatever purpose they just attached another building. I find that charming and am pleased with how this painting turned out.
