Sometimes my canvas speaks to me. The first thing I did, after setting up my work area, was to create an acrylic background on the canvas. I intended to use this for a floral painting. Upon completion I began to see a landscape painting developing. After a day of studying the background, I finally decided to listen to what the canvas was saying to me. Thus, using oil paints I completed my landscape painting, “Impressionist Sunrise.”
