When I began this painting, all I knew for sure was that I wanted to do another acrylic drip background and create a possible landscape, so I used blues, greens, browns, and yellows with a touch of red. Looking at the completed background I began to see trees, water, sun, and a possible bayou; thus, the subject of the painting was formed and completed using oil paints. The setting seemed perfect for adding some egrets.
